It was 1965 when the two founders of Belvedere, Ferruccio and Ida, opened their first restaurant “Trattoria all'Altura”, along the Maranese provincial road between Schio and Marano Vicentino. They later decided to enlarge and move their activity, after 5 years of continuous growing success and notoriety due to their innate passion for their job. In August 1971, Restaurant Belvedere was inaugurated in Piane di Schio, in the place of a pre-existing building.

Ferruccio and Ida finally started a new adventure.

They soon received important satisfactions and gastronomic awards, thanks to their great professionalism
and total dedication to work, combined with the untiring search for the highest quality of food. Among
them, the most significant prize was the one given by the Pro Loco of Schio, during the gastronomical
exhibition “El Capel de Cogo 1975”, dedicated to “Ferruccio Battiston Poeta della Cucina” (literally, the
Cuisine Poet).

In December 1987, the Battiston family inaugurated the new Feast Hall of the Restaurant, a great
ballroom with an approximate area of 500 square meters (5,400 sq ft) of Venetian style flooring, equipped
with all the most innovative services for receptions and dancing parties but also perfect for conferences,
meetings and fashion shows.
